I am married to a certified petrol head and when I am not designing and making jewellery you will usually find me at a car show with our 1979 Pontiac Firebird. Owners spend a great deal of time and money restoring their "babies", and I have always loved the custom paint jobs that grace their cars, especially the fluid lines of the stylised flames that you see on so many of them.
With that in mind I began translating these lines into precious metal, and the now sadly cancelled, York Open Studios 2020 was to be the venue for the launch of my new collection "Hot Rod" Flames. Over the next couple of weeks I intend to preview this and my other new work, created for Open Studios, both here on my website and also on Facebook and Instagram so you will have plenty of chance to see this.
